Ski Helmets

This documentary is proudly supported by the Emergency Physicians of Porter, Parker, and Littleton Adventist Hospitals who would like to remind everyone to please wear a ski helmet when skiing.
Many of the paralyzed sit-skiers in the film did their spinal cord rehab at Craig Hospital, a world leader in Spinal Cord and Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation.

Besides being a world leader in Spinal Cord rehab, Craig Hospital is also a world leader in Traumatic Brain Injury Prevention and Treatment. During the making of this film, our eyes were opened by the leaders at Craig on the importance of helmet use while skiing to prevent the most devastating injury of all, a brain injury.
Marc's helmet story:

"One week after we received ski helmets for the film and I began using one religiously while skiing, the following picture was taken of me going off a kicker. Yes, I got off balance and sure enough smacked very hard on my head on the landing. With a helmet on, I had a headache for 5 minutes and then just thankful thoughts for my guardian angel the rest of the day."

"You can't always stay balanced"
